 Formed in Glasgow, Scotland in 2002 the band released debut Album „I Don`t See You As A Dead Girl“ in 2004 on Rev-Ola/Cherry Red.
Founding member Katie Stewart(Vocals, Guitar) is joined by Anji Jane Kelly (Bass) and Rowan Smith (Drums) on these recordings.

a. FRANKIE QUINN
Breezy, chanteuse-style vocals are caught telling stories of an encounter with a well- travelled tom cat in a leafy, sun-dappled Bohemia. A boozy brass section step it up on a jubilant chorus.

aa. HURRY MONKEY HURRY
A sinister guitar line snakes over tight drums and rumbling post-punk bass, with a nod toward the Young Marble Giants minimalist aesthetic. Standing on a twilit corner the girls demand their monkey fix in delicious 3- part vocal harmonies.

aaa.ROMANY RYE
Spidery slowcore guitars creep a shuffling folk beat, before the song escalates into triple time wintery waltz; a yearning address to some vacillating pseudo- gypsy lover, with lovely dual vocals reminiscent of a long- forgotten Strawberry Switchblade gem.

Synth Like Minds

Synth Like Minds is the third 7” single to be released from FOUND’s debut album Found Can Move. Like many classic pop songs, Synth Like Minds is an ode to two early speech synthesisers built in the 60s called PAT and OVE. The inspiration for the song came from the Linguistics department of Edinburgh University where FOUND’s singer Ziggy Campbell works as a sound engineer. It was here that Ziggy unearthed a rare recording of the two speech synthesisers ‘singing’ a duet of the traditional song ‘The More We Are Together’ and was moved to compose a tribute.

Pressed on vibrant orange vinyl, the record comes with two brand-new b-sides: the dark and moody interlude Pedro Had To Leave and the wonky Prince-inspired funk of The Very Fabric.

documents a genuine piece of “instant composing” featuring a live jam across the telephone exchange, Sushil K Dade performs on acoustic guitar in Glasgow whilst Damo Suzuki (Can) listens to the chords ”down the line” from Cologne HQ and responds with his hauntingly poignant, crackly telephone vocals.

The Pilot returned to Riverside Studios after almost 15 years… it was here that he cut his first solo 7”

AAA. Crystals (St Deluxe)
This wild rocker has already drawn comparison to My Bloody Valentine and Swerve Driver at there peak with vocals sunk low in the mix and layers up noisy guitar’s feeding back, soaring out of control, morphing from one pitch to another.

AAAA. First Light (St Deluxe Remix)
Loop after loop makes this remix a fantastic reminder of “Tomorrow Never Knows” by the Fab Four.
